"Brock and BJ met in the summer of 2014 in Alaska. Brock had been working there for several years, and BJ received an internship for the summer. Through a mutual friend, BJ was able to rent a room from Brock for the summer. Very quickly they became inseparable. They spent their time boating, fishing, hiking, camping, and so much more. As summer drew to an end, they decided that they wanted to be together and that they would try long distance when BJ went back to school in Washington.
After about a year and a half of long distance, Brock moved to Washington so they could be closer to each other. Another year and a half passed, and Brock finally decided he wanted to make it forever (after some hinting from BJ). They went to Cannon Beach for a weekend getaway. During one of their hikes, Brock found a quiet place with a great view of the ocean, and asked BJ if she would marry him. Of course, she said yes!
He proposed with a beautiful ring. It had a twisted band with a round center diamond. Brock dreaded ring shopping because he wanted to find something perfect. He definitely did his research and got an idea of BJ’s style through Pinterest. Once the ring shopping started, he tried multiple store and found Malka Diamonds. Their friendly service and great reviews sold him! They helped Brock find the perfect ring! After the engagement, they also helped BJ to find a band to compliment her engagement ring.“
